Do I need to wet the lenses before swimming?
Not necessarily.
You can wear them dry. For a longer lifespan, after swimming, use a small amount of neutral detergent, gently clean the inner lens, and let it air dry naturally without rinsing again.
This helps maintain the hydrophilic structure over time.

Clear lenses allow you to fully experience the optical clarity and structural anti-fog performance without any tint or light reduction. Many swimmers notice that underwater vision becomes sharper and cleaner than with traditional goggles, particularly in indoor pools.
Do Maritonia goggles fog eventually?
Yes. Like all swim goggles, Maritonia goggles will eventually fog over time.
There is no permanent anti-fog solution in the swimming industry. Anti-fog performance is a matter of duration, not permanence.
Why do different users experience different anti-fog lifespans?
Anti-fog longevity varies depending on factors such as water quality, frequency of use, storage conditions, and cleaning methods.
While some users may experience stable anti-fog performance for six months or even up to a year, others may notice reduced effectiveness sooner. This variation is normal and reflects differences in usage and maintenance, not a product defect.
Does fogging mean the goggles are defective?
No. Fogging over time is considered normal performance degradation, not a manufacturing defect.
Proper maintenance can significantly slow this process, but eventual fogging is expected for any swim goggle.
